fleet week 2011

gary and i went to san francisco last saturday with his sister and two nephews to welcome his brother sherwin for this year's fleet week. kuya sherwin is in the navy and his ship was among the vessels that docked in the san francisco pier. we met up with his wife, ate ella and their two adorable boys, sean and sam. there were soooo many people and the airshow was just fantastic. here are some pictures:

gary and i took a trip to bohol early this month using our mabuhay miles from PAL. flying business class was a real treat, and there were so many things to explore in that province. here are some photos :

the big reunion

gary and i surprised everyone here in the philippines by coming home without anyone knowing (except for my brother jay who picked us up from the airport) last july 12. i'll blog about this when i have the time, but for now, here's some photos from our dinner with my dearest friends mina (and her husband jay) and tina (and her soon-to-be husband neil) at extremely expresso in subic. ina, mina and tina have grown up :P

it's my mom's birthday today in the philippines. i must admit i'm hoping our relationship could be better. the distance has really taken its toll on us in terms of communication. i often wish i could do more for her and be there more for her but i can't. the years are really rolling by and i guess we now realize that i really will be here and she really will be there and that's that. but here's to you ma, and i'll see you as soon as possible. :x

we've been staying here at gary's sister's house too long. they've been so gracious and generous to us and i can only hope we'll be able to return the favor one way or another. thankfully, we're getting our own place this friday and we're moving in this saturday. last black friday, we went cra-zy buying all the stuff we need for the new house. we're soooo excited! :D
